From 31ea2762a3836a9296802a4e1f3fa3aded14f42b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: imonlinux <39863321+imonlinux@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 14 Oct 2025 18:35:30 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Add support for PipeWire, PulseAudio, and Alsa Selects the best available audio output backend for mpv. The selection follows a clear priority: 1. A fully qualified device string (e.g., 'alsa/plughw:...') is used directly. 2. A simple device name tries PipeWire, then PulseAudio, then ALSA. 3. No device specified (or 'default') tries the default for PipeWire, PulseAudio, and ALSA in order. --- linux_voice_assistant/mpv_player.py | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/linux_voice_assistant/mpv_player.py b/linux_voice_assistant/mpv_player.py index 28fcb6a..8da37e5 100644 --- a/linux_voice_assistant/mpv_player.py +++ b/linux_voice_assistant/mpv_player.py @@ -1,6 +1,6 @@ """ Media player using mpv in a subprocess. - +Includes logic to detect the audio server being used (Pirewire, PulseAudio, Alsa).
